Customer Service Specialist

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Customer Service Specialist provides support for the Atlanta Airport operations for arriving students, arrival procedure at lodging and assist with departure days.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

                                                                                                                      

  • Provide a friendly and customer service focused introduction to students as they arrive

  • Load/unload student’s luggage onto the bus

  • Compare student identification cards against the Real ID compliance manifest

  • Assign student to proper coach bus for transport to Anniston

  • Brief students on location and departure time of bus

  • Communicate with Student Services and Travel personnel to account for students who are late or missing

  • Coordinate flight schedules, correspondence and Real ID manifests from both internal and external agencies

  • Track all incoming students arriving at the Atlanta Airport

  • Reply to general information requests from students with accurate information

  • Light general cleaning duties at Bldg. 320

  • Accountability of all departing students

  • Assist with loading luggage on departure days

  • Works effectively with a team and is respectful of colleagues

  • Adheres to company policies and procedures

  • Accepts constructive criticism and is receptive to changes in the work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

 

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required

  • Must possess and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work weekends and flexible hours

  • Must be able to lift, turn and carry items up to 60 lbs.

  • Excellent customer service skills

Shuttle Bus Driver

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Shuttle Bus Driver will provide both student and general transportation requirements for the Center for Domestic Preparedness.  Individuals perform preventative maintenance and are responsible for the cleanliness of vehicles.  Additional duties are regularly assigned when not actually performing driving duties.  All drivers work irregular shift hours and weekends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

                                                                                                  

  • Drive a 15 Passenger Van or 25 Passenger Mini Bus to various airports located at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Georgia, meet all incoming Students on arrival day, provide in-processing assistance and briefing as necessary and drive late arrivals to the lodging area

  • Drive students to various training areas in and around McClellan operating a 44 passenger bus and returns them to Lodging throughout class duration

  • Shuttle students to local community restaurants and retail stores during non-training times

  • Serve as point of contact for community information and transportation requirements of students

  • Maintain cleanliness and refueling of utilized vehicles

  • Prepare various reports and daily operational logs for the Transportation Supervisor

  • Ensure preventive maintenance of vehicles is performed and completed according to schedule

  • Transport students for personal emergency needs to clinics, hospitals, and dentists within the local area and if needed to the airport

  • Responsible for the transportation of Students throughout the day

  • Ensures all students are accounted for on their final day according to the departure schedule

  • Provides transportation for CDP personnel as scheduled and approved by the Program Manager

  • Report all emergencies to the Supervisor, Access Control/Support Services Manager, and the Project Manager

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Experience/Skills:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required

  • 2-3 years related experience

  • Valid Alabama State Operator License and a valid Alabama State CDL, Class B with passenger endorsement with airbrake

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

  • Frequent walking

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Vision Requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

  • Must pass a physical exam every two years, or as required by the Department of Transportation
